The bulk of my earning years have been spent as a member of the executive leadership team in several different industries –
Healthcare:
Director of Community Relations for a trauma facility and regional burn center serving four states
K-12 Education:
Director of Communications for one of the top school districts in WA state; years earlier, a high school counselor, primarily with disenfranchised teens
Media:
Vice President and Director of Public Affairs for a major CBS affiliate including two radio stations and a television station
Finance:
Vice President of Corporate Affairs, managing organizational change plus mergers and acquisitions in an expanding regional bank

My Heart Connections:
Over the years, I have served on numerous not-for-profit boards and done volunteer work for senior services, mental health clinics, hospitals and political campaigns. Early on in my career, I taught school in Kenya through the Peace Corps and co-led a one-month long Gestalt Therapy Group based in Japan. I have always been a strong advocate for the importance of giving back and working together to create a healthier community.
